Several feet of mud fill every room, including the living room and kitchen, in the home of Henry Laguna, center, on Manistee Drive in La Cañada Flintridge after a mudslide flowed through the neighborhood. The family of three narrowly escaped the mud but lost their dog. Laguna heard the slide coming and gathered his family, and they fled to the backyard.
