Police kill knife-wielding suspect

Los Angeles police responding to a call of a man with a knife shot and killed the suspect Sunday afternoon, authorities said.
The call came into the West Valley station about 3:15 p.m., according to Officer Norma Eisenman. Officers responded to the scene at Victory Boulevard and Haskell Avenue, where the suspect was shot by police, she said.
The unidentified suspect died at the scene, Eisenman said.
No further details were available.
