Actor and comedian Andy Dick was arrested Friday night on suspicion of grand theft in Hollywood, Los Angeles police said Saturday.
Dick was accused of taking property from a person, such as something the person was wearing or had in a pocket, said LAPD Officer Sally Madera.
The 48-year-old former star of the comedy series “NewsRadio” was taken into custody at 11:10 p.m., according to LAPD Lt. Scott Murray and Los Angeles County Jail records. He was released on bail shortly after 5 a.m.
Police declined to provide further details. A court date was set for Dec. 4.
Dick has a long history of accusations of inappropriate behavior.
In 2011, he was booked on suspicion of public intoxication after police in Temecula responded to a disturbance at a Marie Callendar’s restaurant.
In 2008, Dick was arrested outside a Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar in Murrieta on suspicion of sexual battery and drug possession after allegedly fondling the breast of a 17-year-old girl and pulling down her shirt.
Previously, he was kicked off the set of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” for touching fellow guest Ivanka Trump.
