LAPD investigating shooting that left 1 dead, 2 others injured

Los Angeles police Monday night were investigating a shooting that killed one man and injured two other people.
The shooting happened shortly before 8 p.m. in the area of 47th Street and Vermont Avenue, police said.
Two men and one woman were shot, police said. One of the men has died.
The other two people have non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital, police said.
Both men are believed to be gang members, police said.
It is unclear if there was more than one shooter. The area is blocked off while police investigate.
No one is in custody, police said.
