Simi Valley police are investigating what they believe may be a murder-suicide.
Officers responding to a call in the 2400 block of East Woodrow Avenue arrived just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday and found a woman and a man with gunshot wounds.
The woman was dead. The man, who was gravely wounded, was rushed to a hospital, where he died, police said in a statement.
Four children living at the residence were unharmed and placed under the supervision of the Ventura County Child Protective Services while relatives are contacted, authorities said.
The motive for the killings has not yet been determined, and the names of the victims and their relationship have not been released, police said.
