Nail salon owner in O.C. pleads guilty to attempted pimping

The owner of a nail salon in Orange was convicted Tuesday and sentenced to two years and two months in state prison after pleading guilty to attempted pimping.
Cam Da Le of Garden Grove faced pandering and pimping charges. Le, 47, was accused of inducing an employee to perform sex acts with an undercover police officer posing as a customer.
Le was also accused of taking the payment and allowing the employee to keep only tips.
Before trial, Le agreed to plead guilty to two felony counts of attempted pimping, said Deputy Dist. Atty. Daniel Varon.
Varon said that prosecutors offered Le the chance to plead guilty to lesser charges because she didn’t have a criminal history.
Authorities were unable to locate a second employee who was believed to have also been instructed to “perform commercial sex acts.”
