A 19-year-old El Monte man is wanted for stealing Los Angeles County sheriff’s badges and identification during a private event for deputies at Raging Waters in San Dimas.
Sheriff’s Parks Bureau detectives on Thursday said they have identified Randy Sandoval as a suspect in connection with a pair of grand thefts that occurred Sept. 22 at a private event sponsored by the Assn. for Los Angeles Deputy Sheriff’s (ALADS).
Two bags containing personal items and two sheriff’s badges and identification were stolen.
Earlier this month, with the public’s help, deputies were able to arrest a 17-year-old girl and identify Sandoval as a second suspect.
Sandoval is described as Latino, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 150 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The deputies’ union is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of Sandoval. Anyone with information on him or the stolen property is asked to call (661) 294-3544 or (213) 276-8108.
