Man and woman found dead in Whittier

A man and a woman were found dead Thursday in a Whittier neighborhood, authorities said.

Authorities were called to the 13500 block of Lanning Drive about 10 a.m., said Deputy Ryan Rouzan of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

The man and the woman were pronounced dead at the scene, Rouzan said.

It’s unclear what led to their deaths or what prompted law enforcement to respond to the area.

The deaths are under investigation by homicide detectives with the Sheriff’s Department, Rouzan said.
