A driver struck a man on Pacific Coast Highway on Sunday night, injuring the pedestrian and closing two lanes of traffic.
The accident occurred at Big Rock Drive about 6:20 p.m., according to Lt. Michael Williams of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department. Williams said the man was struck in eastbound lanes of traffic, which were closed. Traffic was diverted to one westbound lane, he said.
The victim, who was not identified, was taken to a hospital and his condition was not known.
The vehicle’s driver stopped at the scene, Williams said.
