Letters: No, Gov. Brown

Re “Brown has yet to pick a central Prop. 30 pitch,” Oct. 30
Gov. Jerry Brown’s mixed message is that he’s claiming a tax hike is needed for California while approving spending billions of dollars on a deeply flawed high-speed train system in the Central Valley.
Had our Legislature and governor acted responsibly in their spending habits, I might have considered voting for Proposition 30. But there’s no chance I’ll vote for any tax increases unless Sacramento shows it can act more responsibly with our tax dollars.
