Readers React: Free valet service in Vegas made visitors feel like high rollers

To the editor: As an L.A.-based entertainment publicist with clients who performed in Las Vegas casinos, I felt it always stoked my ego to sweep up to the door in my yellow 240Z (“Flash”) and be greeted like one of the stars themselves. (“Get your corporate casino hands off my free Las Vegas parking!,” Opinion, Jan. 27)
If I had out-of-town guests with me, unaware of the free-parking policy, my importance was lifted another notch by the welcoming valet and the admiration of my companion. I must be somebody.
It’s been years since then, but the Strip will never have the same allure without free valet service.
