Readers React: The Blue Line missing link: park-and-ride

To the editor: Twenty five years of the Blue Line is an achievement, but nary a mention is made of its limited park-and-ride capacity, which serves as a barrier to entry. (“Blue Line laid track for expansion,” July 14 )At times, I avoid riding the line to downtown
Los Angeles because of difficulties with finding any available parking at the Wardlow, Del Amo and Compton stations or nearby streets.
While BART in Northern California has constructed many parking structures at its suburban stations, relatively little has been done for the Blue Line. It’s high time that parking capacity be expanded as a way to invite additional ridership.
