Marina Holiday Classic begins Monday

The 29th annual Marina Holiday Classic, a three-day boys’ soccer extravaganza that includes 24 teams, begins Monday on four playing fields on the Marina campus.
The tournament continues Tuesday and concludes Wednesday.
Monday’s Schedule
7:30 a.m. games: Villa Park vs. Long Beach Poly; Savanna vs. Torrance; Newport Harbor vs. Magnolia; Anaheim vs. Dominguez.
9 a.m. games: Bonita vs. Gahr; Long Beach Cabrillo vs. Marina; Cerritos vs. Orange; Westminster vs. Redondo Union.
10:30 a.m. games: Long Beach Poly vs. Fullerton; Torrance vs. San Marcos; Magnolia vs. Valley Christian; Dominguez vs. El Cajon Valley.
Noon games: Gahr vs. Victor Valley; Marina vs. Dos Pueblos; Orange vs. Lakewood; Redondo Union vs. Pacifica.
1:30 p.m. games: Fullerton vs. Villa Park; San Marcos vs. Savanna; Valley Christian vs. Newport Harbor; El Cajon Valley vs. Anaheim.
3 p.m. games: Victor Valley vs. Bonita; Dos Pueblos vs. Long Beach Cabrillo; Lakewood vs. Cerritos; Pacifica vs. Westminster.

Girls’ Soccer
Ocean View went to Laguna Beach Dec. 17 for a nonleague game and held a 1-0 halftime lead, but the host Breakers rallied for a 2-1 victory.
Madison White scored in the opening half and Emma Malsy had six saves for the Seahawks.
