Dodgers reliever Shawn Tolleson says he will resume throwing

PHOENIX -- Reliever Shawn Tolleson, who came out of the Dodgers’ Cactus League game Tuesday in Peoria, Ariz., with a sore left knee, pronounced himself healed Wednesday.

Tolleson said he felt something pop in his left knee after delivering a 1-0 pitch to the San Diego Padres’ Gregorio Petit, and the Dodgers removed him from the game as a precaution.

But examinations Tuesday night and Wednesday morning found no continuing soreness or swelling.

Tolleson said he would play catch Wednesday but not participate in fielding drills or any running for at least a day.

His status is officially listed as day to day.

Tolleson pitched in 40 games for the Dodgers last year, going 3-1 with a 4.30 earned-run average. He has made three appearances this spring, allowing a run and two hits in 2 2/3 innings.
