Update: The leisurely schedule — the Ducks have played one game since Dec. 6 — picks up in a meaningful way with a four-game East Coast swing before the Christmas break. Among those practicing Wednesday in Buffalo was forward Jiri Sekac, who had been on a brief conditioning assignment with the Ducks’ American Hockey League affiliate in San Diego. Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau indicated to reporters in Buffalo that Sekac would return to action against the Sabres. Sekac has been out since suffering a high ankle sprain Nov. 1.
