A week of championships in high school sports

City Section and Southern Section championships will be decided this week in water polo, girls’ volleyball and cross country.
On Wednesday at 6 p.m., El Camino Real will face Palisades for the City Section boys’ water polo title at Contreras Learning Center in Los Angeles.
On Saturday morning, the City Section cross country finals will take place at Pierce College. Los Angeles Roybal will be the site for the City girls’ volleyball finals. Matches are set for 11 a.m., 1:30 pm., 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The Southern Section will hold its water polo championships on Saturday at the William Wollett Pool in Irvine. On the same day, the cross country finals will be held at Mt. San Antonio College. The girls’ volleyball finals will be held Friday at Cerritos College and Saturday at Santiago Canyon College and Cerritos College.
Prime Ticket will televise live the 1AA girls’ volleyball final.
