It’s time for the Southern California baseball players to show their stuff.
The team representing the Milwaukee Brewers and made up of Southern California players makes its debut on Sunday at noon against the Nationals in the Area Code Games at Blair Field in Long Beach.
These are promising high school players, mostly from the class of 2017, and the roster is packed with draft prospects.
UCLA Coach John Savage figures to drop by, because there are pitchers galore who have committed to the Bruins: Hagen Danner (Huntington Beach), Chase Farrell (Valencia), Sam Glick (El Toro), Hunter Greene (Sherman Oaks Notre Dame), Jeremiah Estrada (Palm Desert). Also on the team is UCLA commit Garrett Mitchell, an outfielder from Orange Lutheran.
USC commits Hans Crouse (Dana Hills) and Nick Pratto (Huntington Beach) are pitchers on the roster.
The one member from the class of 2018 playing on the team is Corona Santiago shortstop Bryce Turang.
