Former Harvard-Westlake pitcher Max Fried of the Atlanta Braves organization has put together another Baseball Fanfest in which former local high school baseball standouts now in professional baseball participate in a free open workout and autograph session giving back to local fans.
The workout is set for Sunday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Harvard-Westlake baseball field and Mid-Valley complex in Encino at 17301 Oxnard Street.
Former Harvard-Westlake players Lucas Giolito (Nationals) and Jack Flaherty (Cardinals), along with former Santa Monica pitcher Tyler Skaggs (Angels), are scheduled to participate.
There’s also a gala at Sportsmen’s Lodge from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. benefiting The Strikeout Crohn’s Charity.
