Boys’ basketball: Trevor Stanback to be eligible immediately at Maranatha

Tim Tucker, the basketball coach at Maranatha, said Monday that 6-foot-10 Chaminade transfer Trevor Stanback will be eligible immediately after moving.
He said the transfer paper work will be sent to the Southern Section on Monday. If he failed to move, he would have had to sit out until January.
Stanback and point guard Tyler Dorsey, a transfer from St. John Bosco, will help make Maranatha one of the top teams in the Southland.
