Cross country: Arcadia’s Phillip Rocha rolls to victory in Southern Section Division 1 finals

There was no stopping Arcadia’s Phillip Rocha at Saturday’s Southern Section cross country finals at Mount San Antonio College.
He had the fastest time of the day, 14:42.7, in win the Division 1 boys’ title. Great Oak swept the team titles in Division 1 for boys and girls.
In Division 3, Austin Tamagno of Brea ran 14:50.3 en route to victory. Brea won the team title. West Torrance won Division 2. Dylan Scarscone of Anaheim Canyon won the individual title in 15:07.2.
In Division 4, Harvard-Westlake won the team title and Andrew Burkhardt of JSerra won the individual title in 15:03.4. Flintridge Prep won Division 5 behind Jack Van Scoter, ran 15:12.6.
Saugus won the team title in girls’ Division 2. Amanda Gehrich of Tesoro ran 17:24.0.
