Football: Arleta wins its first City Section Division I playoff game

First-year Coach Bill Coan has already accomplished something at Arleta High. He guided the Mustangs to their first-ever City Section Division I playoff victory on Friday with a 36-31 win over Palisades.
Quarterback Jonathan Porter had three touchdown passes and running back Isaiah Gable also had a big game for Arleta (10-1), which opened a 36-14 halftime lead.
Arleta will face the winner of San Pedro-Roosevelt in the quarterfinals on Friday.
