First-year Coach Irvin Davis of Dorsey has made his fans very happy. For the first time since 2011, the Dons have beaten rival Crenshaw.
Dorsey (5-5, 3-2) defeated the Cougars, 35-34, on Friday night. Freshman Charles Mincy Jr. and senior Devin Mangrum led an effective rushing attack.
Dorsey’s secondary also came through, with Tyquan Perry, Antwone Williams and Marquette Jackson each coming up with interceptions.
Jackson’s interception sealed the victory.
Los Angeles ends up as league champion with Hawkins finishing second.
