Football: Jim Benkert makes pitch for endorsement deal

The sun on Saturday afternoon at Oceanside High was so strong that Oaks Christian Coach Jim Benkert was grateful that he brought along his new Oakley sunglasses bought for him by his wife.
“It was brutal,” he said of the glare into his face.
The good news is Benkert got lots of airtime on television wearing his sunglasses on the sideline during the Lions’ 35-33 win over Cathedral Catholic.
Now he’s hopeful of an Oakley endorsement deal.
