Dolphins begin season with 40-12 win

It’s a little too early to start thinking that Palisades might be able to topple Venice in the Western League, but the Dolphins showed potential in a 40-12 season-opening win over Marshall.
Junior quarterback P.J. Hurst had two touchdown passes. Standout kicker Ethan Erickson made two field goals. Linebacker Alec Simpson contributed 10 tackles. Receiver Dhaamir Lomax had a nifty 55-yard catch and run.
The Dolphins will need to do a lot more improving before they face Venice on Oct. 17 at Venice.
