Football: Playoffs show Mission Viejo has receiver standout in sophomore Austin Osborne
- Share via
One reason post-season football is so important is it helps validate how good players become over the course of the season.
Sophomore receiver Austin Osborne of unbeaten Mission Viejo has become one of those standout players.
He has caught 17 touchdown passes and is averaging 24.8 yards a catch for unbeaten Mission Viejo (15-0), which plays Bellarmine on Friday in Sacramento in the CIF state championship Division 1-AA bowl game. Mission Viejo has a 27-game win streak.
He’s 6 feet 3 and part of a receiver class this season that has been close to unstoppable throughout Southern California.
