Football: West Valley Division could have some great matchups
- Share via
The Pac-5 Division could have some great quarterfinal matchups, but the West Valley Division, which is the second-toughest in the Southern Section, isn’t far behind.
It was created by moving some top leagues, such as the South Coast and Foothill, to join with some terrific teams from the Inland Empire.
So even though coaches don’t like us sportswriters to look ahead, just imagine what the quarterfinal matchups could look like in a week’s time:
Upland vs. Edison or Hart; Vista Murrieta vs. Tesoro; Chino Hills vs. Los Alamitos; Valencia vs. Mission Viejo.
Sunset League teams could be involved in the best opening games. I still don’t know who’s going to win Edison-Hart. And El Toro could give Los Alamitos lots of trouble in a Thursday night game at Veterans Stadium. It will at least have lots of offense.
