Girls’ basketball: Chaminade to play Cajon for Palisades tournament title

It will be Chaminade taking on Cajon on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the championship game of the Palisades’ girls’ basketball tournament.
In Friday’s semifinals, Chaminade defeated Ventura, 57-41. Leaonna Odom scored 27 points.
Cajon defeated Oaks Christian, 51-49. Tyler Turner had 23 points and Kayla Washington 18. Katie Campbell scored 19 points for Oaks Christian.
In other games, Agoura defeated Channel Islands, 64-39. Antelope Valley defeated Taft, 72-40. El Camino Real defeated Garces, 57-30. West Torrance defeated Marlborough, 68-31.
Kayla Gillette scored 15 points in Palisades’ 58-47 win over Troy. Rebecca Lazuka scored 30 points for Troy.
Saturday’s schedule: Taft vs. Channel Islands, 10 a.m.; Agoura vs. Antelope Valley, 11:30 a.m.; Garces vs. Marlborough, 1 p.m.; El Camino Real vs. West Torrance, 2:30 p.m.; Troy vs. LB Millikan, 4 p.m.; Palisades vs. Valencia, 5:30 p.m.; Oaks Christian vs. Ventura, 7 p.m.
