Previewing Wednesday’s featured Southern Section championship games

Southern Section Division 4AA
Orange Lutheran (26-6) vs. Los Angeles Windward (23-7), 6:30 p.m. at Anaheim Arena — Both schools come from tough leagues and have played challenging schedules. Lutheran knocked off Santa Ana Mater Dei and Westchester during the regular season. The Lancers rely on point guard James Douglas (16.3 points a game) and shooting guard Gabe York (18.8). Windward won the Alpha League and almost upset state power San Diego Lincoln in a tournament game. Harvard-bound Wesley Saunders is averaging 20.3 points and junior Nicholas Stover is averaging 15.7.

GIRLS
Southern Section Division 4AA
Los Angeles Windward (24-4) vs. Bishop Montgomery (22-9), 4:45 p.m. at Anaheim Arena — Both teams advanced to division championship games last year, and lost. Top-seeded Windward last won a title in 2006, second-seeded Bishop Montgomery in 2003. Windward’s top players are Imani Stafford (12.4 points), Jordin Canada (12.3) and Courtney Jaco (12.0). Bishop Montgomery is led by Devon Brookshire (15.1 points, 8.2 rebounds). Windward defeated Bishop Montgomery on Feb. 5, 68-54.
