Boys
SOUTHERN SECTION 3AA
Los Angeles Price (22-6) vs. La Canada (27-3), 4:45 p.m. at Anaheim Convention Center — Price is a heavy favorite because of players such as 6-foot-9 Norvel Pelle, 6-8 Skylar Spencer and Colorado-bound guard Askia Booker. But veteran La Canada Coach Tom Hofman is known for having one of the best passing-game offenses in high school. Dario CiVon and Michael McGlashan are 6-2 players who thrive in Hofman’s scheme, averaging 15 and 17 points.

SOUTHERN SECTION 1A
Huntington Beach Edison (28-3) vs. Fullerton Troy (27-3), 8:15 p.m. at Anaheim Convention Center — When they met Jan. 29 in a nonleague game, Troy held Edison to its lowest score of the season. But Edison won, 46-32. Top-seeded Edison is led by Stanford-bound Bonnie Samuelson and her sister Karlie, who are both mentioned in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame for having won national free-throw contests. Second-seeded Troy has four players who average in double figures — Gabriella Hanson, Briana Roberson, Alecia Dimas and Madalene Barrett.
