Update: Chaminade is seeking its seventh victory in the 27-year history of the Maui Invitational after beating Oklahoma last season. The Division II Silverswords are trying to incorporate an up-tempo offense under Eric Bovaird, a first-year coach whose team at West Liberty (W.Va.) averaged 111 points per game last season. Chaminade averaged 74.5 points in season-opening victories over Western Oregon and St. Martin’s (Wash.) and already has scored a triumph of sorts over UCLA, beating the Bruins in a video-game competition Saturday.
