Update: The Kings have been targeting Saturday night as the return date for injured defenseman Drew Doughty, who hurt his right shoulder two weeks ago at Philadelphia. He has missed five games in that stretch and resumed practicing with contact on Wednesday. The official roster move — to make room for Doughty — would come after Saturday’s morning skate, assuming no issues with the shoulder develop. Rookie defenseman Slava Voynov is the most likely candidate to head back to Manchester. Anze Kopitar has 12 points in nine games, four points ahead of last season’s pace.
