Tim McCarver to retire from Fox analyst job after 2013 season

Baseball analyst Tim McCarver is one of those guys that people either love or hate. But after this season, it won’t matter how you feel about him. He’s retiring.
McCarver, 71, said Wednesday he will step down from his job at Fox after this baseball season.
“I wanted to step down while I know I can still do the job and proud of the job I’ve done,” McCarver said.
He has worked 28 consecutive MLB postseasons on network television dating to 1984 and has provided analysis for a record 23 World Series. He played as a catcher in the major leagues from 1959 to 1980.
Last year, he was honored by baseball’s Hall of Fame with the Ford C. Frick Award for major contributions to baseball broadcasting.
The big question though, is what will all those “Fire Tim McCarver” websites do now?
