AFC notes: Broncos have been the best in September over the last three years

Baltimore Ravens: Dennis Pitta is tied for most catches (12) by a tight end and ranks second in yards (141). The Ravens are looking for their first 3-0 start since 2009.

Buffalo Bills: The Bills defense gave up 493 yards to the New York Jets last week. Anthony Lynn will make his debut as offensive coordinator against Arizona.

Cincinnati Bengals: Andy Dalton leads the league with 732 yards passing, but the Bengals risk starting 1-2 for the first time since 2011 if they lose to Denver.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns will start their third QB of the year (Cody Kessler) and will be without the team’s top wideout Corey Coleman (hand) against Miami.

Denver Broncos: The Broncos have an NFL-best record of 11-1 in September over the last three seasons. C.J. Anderson leads the league with seven runs of more than 10 yards.

Houston Texans: Brock Osweiler completed 24 of 41 passes for 196 yards in a 27-0 loss to New Orleans on Thursday. He has had four passes intercepted in three games.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts won three games in a row after starting 0-2 last season and five straight after an 0-2 start in 2014. Indianapolis last was 0-3 in 2011.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Luke Joeckel is expected to start at left tackle since starter Kelvin Beachum suffered a concussion last week that required a hospital stay.

Kansas City Chiefs: Running back Jamaal Charles could make his return to the field against the Jets. He hasn’t played since tearing a knee ligament in Week 5 of last season.

Miami Dolphins: Running back Arian Foster (groin) is not expected to play. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill is the Dolphins’ leading rusher with 52 yards in 11 carries.

New England Patriots: LeGarrette Blount rushed for two touchdowns against Houston. Rookie quarterback Jacoby Brisset scored on a run in his debut.

New York Jets: Matt Forte needs one receiving touchdown to become the fifth player in history with 8,000 yards rushing, 4,000 yards receiving and 20 touchdowns receiving.

Oakland Raiders: Amari Cooper caught seven passes for 115 yards last season against Tennessee. The second-year pro has six 100-plus yard receiving games.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Ben Roethlisberger leads the league with six touchdown passes and has had three straight games with at least three touchdown throws.

San Diego Chargers: The Chargers have given up 10 points through the first three quarters the last two weeks. San Diego has beaten Indianapolis in six of the last seven.

Tennessee Titans: Andre Johnson had six catches for 83 yards and a score last week. He’s the active leader in catches (1,057) and yards receiving (14,139).
