USC football: Freshman Su’a Cravens makes another big play

USC freshman safety Su’a Cravens has four interceptions, none bigger than the one he made late in the fourth quarter during the Trojans’ 20-17 upset victory over fifth-ranked Stanford on Saturday night at the Coliseum.

Craven’s interception helped set up Andre Heidari’s game-winning field goal.

“This is what I came to USC for,” he said. “I didn’t come to play cupcakes, I came for big-time games on a big stage.

“I don’t think its gets any bigger than this.”

Cravens made his play after linebacker Hayes Pullard hit Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan, who tried to throw the ball as he was being pulled to the ground. Cornerback Josh Shaw tipped the ball and Cravens caught it.

“It just fell into my lap, he said.
