Former USC safety Troy Polamalu is sidelined because of a knee injury

Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu will be sidelined against the New York Jets on Sunday because of a sprained right knee.
Polamalu suffered the injury in the second quarter of a 43-23 victory over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday night.
Polamalu, a 12th-year pro, has a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, a pass deflection and four tackles for losses.
