Fischer sisters part of Team USA win

In its first match since winning the 2015 FINA World Championship last August, the USA Water Polo Women’s Senior National Team, which includes Makenzie and Aria Fischer of Laguna Beach, rolled to a 14-3 victory over China at the William Woollett Aquatics Center in Irvine Saturday.
Makenzie Fischer was one of three U.S. players to score twice. Kiley Neushul (Dos Pueblos/Stanford) led all scorers with four goals.
Team USA is back in action Nov. 23 for the first game of a three-game series with Australia at 7 p.m. at the Coggan Family Aquatic Center in La Jolla.
The teams also will play Nov. 24 (7 p.m.) at Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, and Nov. 27 (2 p.m.) at Dos Pueblos High in Goleta.
