San Francisco International Arts Festival, May 16 to 27 at various locations throughout San Francisco; (415) 399-9554, www.sfiaf.org. A dance troupe will perform while suspended from the ceiling of a departure terminal at San Francisco’s airport, and Circus Baobab from Guinea (described as “Cirque du Soleil with an African touch”) will make its U.S. debut during the wide-ranging arts fest. Also look for free performances in Union Square at noon daily and a closing-night gospel performance at Grace Cathedral.
Admission: Free to $35 (Circus Baobab).
