2 Girls Given Judge’s OK to Attend Prom as Couple

A Monterey County Municipal Court judge has ordered Salinas Union High School officials to allow two girls to attend a school prom together.
Marie Hawkins and Stephanie Salgado said they decided to go to the dance together because their boyfriends didn’t want to, but school officials said only boy-girl couples could attend.
