Asian Bias

In response to “UC Berkeley Faculty Panel Finds No Pattern of Asian Bias in Admissions,” Part I, Feb. 28:
I remember vividly the same bias toward the admission of Jewish students in the 1920s. The concern then was the fear of the number of high-achieving Jewish students would take the places of too many non-Jewish students.
Today, it’s a rerun of the same fears, except the new kid on the block is an Asian. Like his Jewish predecessors, these Asian high-achievers will join America’s mainstream and contribute to its vibrant future.
So relax and enjoy!
