Garvey Schools : Filing for School Board

Residents interested in running for the school board in November must file an intention to run by Friday.
Two seats on the five-member board will be contested on Nov. 7. Board member Gilbert Barron has decided not to seek reelection, and former member Judy Chu’s seat will also be open. Chu resigned last year after winning a seat on the Monterey Park City Council.
Candidates must be registered voters and live in areas served by the school district, which includes Rosemead and portions of Monterey Park and San Gabriel.
Filing forms may be obtained by contacting the district office at 573-5820.
