SANTA ANA : Assistant Principal Gets Alumni Award

Johnny L. Williams, assistant principal of Santa Ana’s Valley High School, has been honored as one of this year’s 100 distinguished alumni of the nation’s historically black colleges and universities.
The award is bestowed by the National Assn. for Equal Opportunity in Higher Education.
Williams, 52, received his bachelor of science degree from Grambling State University in Louisiana in 1963. He also earned a master’s degree in counseling and administration from Cal State Fullerton in 1974.
A 25-year veteran of the Santa Ana Unified School District, Williams was a teacher and a counselor before becoming assistant principal at Valley High, according to district officials.
