Fellowship Awarded for Chemistry Study

Jana Westran , a recent Harvey Mudd College graduate, has received a $12,000 General Electric Foundation Fellowship for her first year of graduate school. She plans to study for a Ph.D in organic chemistry at the University of Illinois.
The fellowships are to help women and minorities establish academic careers in engineering and the sciences.
