Santa Monica : Library System Gets Grant
The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation has awarded a $20,000 grant to Santa Monica College.
The money will be used to automate listings of the library’s magazines and periodicals to help students searching for specific material.
“We’re delighted with the grant,” said Mona Martin, the college’s library and learning resource center coordinator. “Given the budget situation, there’s no way we’d be able to do this automation project without the generosity of the Parsons Foundation.”
The Ralph M. Parsons Foundation was established in 1961 by the late Ralph M. Parson, founder of the engineering and construction firm that bears his name.
