* Instead of criticizing the holiday program of the Sulphur Springs Union School District (“School’s Holiday Program Criticized Over Christian References,” Dec. 9), the Kruskol family and Rabbi Gary Greenebaum should have commended the superintendent for his professionalism and commitment. The program reflects the religious traditions of the nation.
They should appreciate the school’s effort to include recognition of the Jewish holiday of Hanukkah.
Supt. Robert Nolet’s decision not to cancel the Christmas holiday program, as requested by the family, was an affirmation of the perception that we are a religious people.
