BRIEFLY : Schools: LEARN Preregistration Dates Set

Preregistration for Los Angeles Unified School District schools in the LEARN program begins Monday and continues through Sept. 8, the first day of classes. For schools on the traditional calendar, preregistration starts Aug. 25 and continues through Sept. 12, the first day of school.
Parents must show proof of their address when registering. Those unsure of which school their child should attend may call the district’s information center at (213) 625-5437.
Parents enrolling kindergartners must show proof that the child will be age 5 before Dec. 2. Complete health and immunization records for incoming kindergartners and students must be provided in writing before a child will be allowed to attend classes.
The school district suggests that parents call their school to verify preregistration dates.
