Board Votes to Apply for Science Grant

The Los Alamitos Unified School District will apply for a science and technology grant that would be used at campuses districtwide.
The board voted at a recent meeting to apply for the Science and Technology Renaissance Project grant, funded by Project Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization involving Orange County businesses and educational institutions.
The district’s five-year proposal will seek about $1 million.
