3 Buddhist women are fatally shot

Suspected Muslim separatists in southern Thailand’s Pattani province shot and killed three Buddhist women, two days after three Muslim children were killed in an attack on a boarding school.
Thailand is overwhelmingly Buddhist, but its far south is predominantly Muslim. Army Gen. Sonthi Boonyaratglin promised to send extra security forces to the region if needed.
The latest victims were headed to work at a farm project.
