Man arrested on suspicion of killing his stepson during a birthday party

Deputies arrested a 76-year-old man Saturday on suspicion of fatally shooting his stepson during a birthday party, authorities said.
Deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the 13900 block of Palomino Court at about 7:38 p.m. Saturday to reports of shots fired.
They found Anthony Ledesma, 45, suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation found that Ledesma was celebrating his birthday at the residence. During the party, authorities said, Ledesma attacked his stepfather, Ernesto Holguin.
Holguin fire several rounds at Ledesma, striking him numerous times, authorities said. Holguin was detained and later booked at High Desert Detention Center on suspicion of murder.
